CANBERRA

One of Australia’s few planned cities, Canberra is a place where architectural style complements the beauty of the surrounding Australian bush. Located on the ancient lands of the traditional owners, the Ngunnawal people, Canberra is thought to derive its name from the Aboriginal word Kamberra or ‘meeting place’.

Canberra is conveniently located between Sydney and Melbourne and is a great destination for delegates with easy access via plane, bus, train or car. Once you’re here you’ll discover the ease of travelling around a planned city. Take a public bus, a taxi or a tour. You can be on the other side of Canberra in just forty minutes. Alternately, drive yourself around. Traffic flows are great. It is simple and easy to get from your accommodation to the meeting venue.

Canberra is full of fantastic experiences for visitors. Set within leafy surrounds, this modern city offers stylish restaurants, bars and shops, scenic outdoor areas, and museums. Canberra is a fantastic base from which to explore the many treasures of the surrounding region. Explore historic townships, natural wonders, beautiful coastlines and the famous Snowy Mountains. So allow enough time to linger longer and enjoy all the nation’s capital has to offer.
