VENUE

The Congress will be held at The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC).

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is situated in the heart of the vibrant Gold Coast.

Surrounded by luxurious hotels, fine dining and stunning beaches, the Centre offers more than just an event space–it’s a gateway to a truly exceptional experience.

Parking

The Centre provides convenient undercover spaces for short-term parking, ensuring visitors have hassle-free access to the venue. The parking facilities include two electric vehicle (EV) chargers. For your convenience, a flat rate of $15 inclusive of GST for daily parking is offered at the Centre. Please note that parking charges recommence after 2 AM. The parking clearance height is set at 2.1 metres, and a 10 KPH speed limit within the car park premises is strictly enforced. Visitors are advised to refer to the terms and conditions displayed at the entry to the car park for further guidance.

To enhance the visitor experience, GCCEC offers an innovative touchless parking solution through the ZipBy app. This cutting-edge technology allows visitors to enjoy ticketless parking, eliminating the need for physical tickets or payment terminals. Prior to arriving at the venue, visitors are encouraged to download the ZipBy app for seamless parking access. Please note that pre-booking options are currently unavailable at GCCEC. Getting to the GCCEC

Tram/G:Link

The Gold Coast’s G:Link is a 20km light rail system connecting Broadbeach with Helensvale via the entertainment and activity precincts of Surfers Paradise, Main Beach and Southport.

  • The G:Link is located directly in front of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (less than 150 metres away).
  • Services operate seven days a week approximately every 7-15 minutes.
  • The stop closest to the Centre is Broadbeach North station.
  • The light rail platforms have wheelchair accessible entry and exits and have signalised pedestrian crossings.
  • Please note that the pedestrian crossing is intersected by tram lines that provide a slightly uneven surface.
  • A ramp connects the Gold Coast Highway to GCCEC’s pedestrian path. The ramp surface is concrete and in good condition with handrails, wheel guards and ground surface indicators.

Reducing our environmental impact

The College recognises the importance of sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our events and as such, we do not offer delegate satchels at our annual Congress, and limit printing as much as possible. Instead we provide an app and digital program / handbook and book of abstracts in place of printed versions.

We are also pleased to be holding Congress at a venue that has a focus on sustainability. The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) leads the way in environmental innovation, embodying sustainable development’s core principles: stewardship, inclusivity, integrity and transparency. Achieving ‘EarthCheck Master’ certification in 2023, GCCEC showcases its unwavering and ongoing commitment to the highest environmental standards in the industry.
Since its opening in 2004, GCCEC has consistently integrated environmental and social sustainability into its operations, strategy and planning. A robust Sustainability Policy and Environmental Management Plan ensure that sustainability is a cornerstone of the Centre’s business practices, fostering partnerships that promote environmentally conscious initiatives.

The Centre is centrally located and a short walk from the Congress hotels and the Broadbeach North station so you can travel by foot or via public transport if you live locally. We also encourage all delegates to bring a reusable Keep Cup with you to Congress each day for your tea or coffee and ask that you ensure you use the separate waste bins that are provided throughout the Centre for your rubbish. Please also consider offsetting the carbon emissions from your travel when you book your flights and / or making a carbon offset contribution with your Congress registration.

Smoking

The GCCEC is government owned and therefore a total non-smoking venue. Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas.
