Gold Coast Airport
The Gold Coast Airport is less than 20 kilometres from the Gold Coast and Convention Centre
with regular
flights from all capital cities and some Queensland regional centres.
Regular bus and shuttle services are available from Gold Coast Airport to Broadbeach.

Brisbane Airport
If you are arriving at Brisbane Airport, this is around 80km north of the Gold Coast but
there are several options to get from the airport including train, bus, car, taxi, limo and
shuttle. A taxi from Brisbane to the Gold Coast is outside the metered zones and so you
would need to ask the driver for a quote, an estimate would be between $150 and $300. You
can catch a train directly from the domestic or international terminals directly to the Gold
Coast which will take around 90 minutes.
Useful information and links can be found here.
Car Rental
You’ll find Australia’s best known car rental companies located opposite the arrivals
area at Gold Coast Airport.
Public Transport (Local Bus)
Surfside Buses services the Gold Coast with a number of routes passing directly through
Surfers Paradise. The route 702 bus departs from the airport every half hour between the
first and last flights of the day and takes about 45 minutes to arrive at Ferny Avenue in
Surfers Paradise.
G:link Light Rail
The Gold Coast’s G:link light rail system is a 13-kilometre corridor connecting Griffith
University to Broadbeach, passing through the key activity centres of Surfers Paradise and
Southport.
The service provides an easily-accessible and affordable transport option for patrons and
guests, with the Broadbeach North Station conveniently located just metres from the Centre’s
main entrance.

Each delegate who attended the Congress will receive a certificate of attendance via email once the Congress has concluded. The certificate will contain confirmation of attendance to those who have attended the RANZCP 2025 Congress. These credits will not be certified by a national or regional CME accrediting agency. Accompanying persons of the Congress will not be awarded a certificate.
The College proudly supports an inclusive Congress, as demonstrated by:
Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Delegate registration fees do not provide any insurance coverage. The Organising Committee and the Congress Office accept no responsibility for any loss in this regard.
The official language of the Congress is English.
Every effort is made to ensure people with special requirements are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, please include a notation with your registration form to enable us to make your stay on the Gold Coast a pleasant and comfortable experience.
The College recognises the importance of sustainability and reducing the
environmental impact of our events and as such, we do not offer delegate
satchels at our annual Congress, and limit printing as much as possible. Instead
we provide an app and digital program / handbook and book of abstracts in place
of printed versions.
The College is participating in a carbon-offset program for the 2025 Congress.
If you wish to make a voluntary donation of $25, this will be used to offset a
tonne of carbon through two Tasman Environmental Projects. For details on each
project, please click the below links:.
We are also pleased to be holding Congress at a venue that has a focus on
sustainability. The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) leads
the way in environmental innovation, embodying sustainable development’s core
principles: stewardship, inclusivity, integrity and transparency. Achieving
‘EarthCheck Master’ certification in 2023, GCCEC showcases its unwavering and
ongoing commitment to the highest environmental standards in the industry.
Since its opening in 2004, GCCEC has consistently integrated environmental and
social sustainability into its operations, strategy and planning. A robust
Sustainability Policy and Environmental Management Plan
ensure that
sustainability is a cornerstone of the Centre’s business practices, fostering
partnerships that promote environmentally conscious initiatives.
The Centre is centrally located and a short walk from the Congress hotels and
the Broadbeach North station so you can travel by foot or via public transport
if you live locally. We also encourage all delegates to bring a reusable Keep
Cup with you to Congress each day for your tea or coffee and ask that you ensure
you use the separate waste bins that are provided throughout the Centre for your
rubbish. Please also consider offsetting the carbon emissions from your travel
when you book your flights and / or making a carbon offset contribution with
your Congress registration.
We encourage delegates to think about things you can implement too. They might
be as simple as bringing a reusable Keep Cup with you to Gold Coast for your
morning coffee, or ensuring you use the separate waste bins that are provided
throughout the centre. Please also consider using a digital ticket for your
flight and choosing to offset the carbon emissions from your travel in advance.
The RANZCP Foundation is the College charity translating donations into
