DR VINESH GUPTA
Dr Vinesh Gupta is certified as a child and adolescent and forensic psychiatrist. During his professional career spanning 30 years in psychiatry, he has worked in 4 continents across inpatient, community, prison in reach, primary health and Clinical Lead for child and adolescent, adolescent forensic and adult forensic psychiatry. Dr Gupta is the Medical Advisor for Counter Violence and Extremism (CVE) for the Western Australia Police Force and has previously worked with CVE and FTAC in QLD. He is the current Chair for the Binational Faculty of Forensic Psychiatry.
Dr Gupta has held various academic and administrative roles during this time, including Director and Program Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Alberta; Chair of Professors and Directors of Child Psychiatry of Canada; Director, Mental health (Children’s Hospital Queensland). Dr Gupta’s current roles include Adjunct Professor, Curtin University; Medical Co-Director, Mental Health, RPBG and Clinical Lead, Mental Health for East Metropolitan Health Service, WA.
