ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR FRANCES DARK

  

A/Prof Frances Dark is a graduate of the University of Queensland. She became a psychiatrist in 1991 and has worked in the public mental health system as a consultant psychiatrist since 1991. Her predominant interest has been in improving outcomes of people diagnosed with psychosis. She is an advocate of comprehensive psychosis care that includes access to evidence- based psychosocial interventions. Currently she is Director of the Rehabilitation services in Metro South Health service, Brisbane. She led a team that saw the implementation of three residential rehabilitation services. She has been a member of the working party developing the RANZCP curriculum for Rehabilitation Psychiatry.
